How long is a piece of string?

…Well, my piece of string is roughly as follows:

My hourly rate for photography is £150 and I have a minimum booking of two hours, so you can hire me for some or all parts of your day. Maybe you’re only after that Big Beautiful shot of you smooching at the altar, that’s cool. Perhaps you’re a party animal and you’re keen to see the drunken dancing in all its sweaty glory. That’s cool too, I love that bit! It’s worth staying up late for. Let’s talk about how you imagine your day and what’s important to you.

I’ll just mention now that depending on the size of wedding, it’s often great to have a second shooter (this is another professional photographer who will capture loads of extra special moments because I can’t be in two places at once) charged at an additional £120 per hour with no minimum booking. An example - You know those photos where you see the bride as she walks up the aisle and you also get a closeup of the groom’s reaction to seeing her for the first time? That’s usually done with a second shooter. Here’s another - If you’re having a big party and you want to create lots of memories of all your guests living their best lives, a second shooter is like an insurance policy so you won’t miss any details.

Here’s what else you get:

Once the wedding day is over I will personally comb through the images and hand pick a few hundred of the best ones (the number would vary depending on how many hours I was present at the wedding), individually process them so that the colours and tones are stunning and vibrant, and arrange them in an online gallery which you can share with your guests or anyone you like. Plus I’ll send you a cute little USB with all the images at maximum resolution so you can make poster prints or wallpaper your house with them.

A quick note about the difference between processing and retouching: Processing or editing is a blanket adjustment applied to the entire image, like black and white or a contrast filter, whilst retouching is when more advanced changes are made to individual parts of the image, like removing telephone wires from the sky or erasing skin blemishes. Processing is included in the cost, but retouching is charged as an extra and is priced depending on the complexity of the task.

Make it bespoke

Cinematic family portraits with epic lighting, pre-wedding lake swimming, moving vehicles. Horses. I love it all, I am down for whatever!

Prints and albums

All the images I send you will be of a high enough resolution to make albums and prints up to A3 size and I will be happy to point you in the direction of several excellent printing services.
